The artist was a resident at Lafayette Anticipations - Galeries Lafayette Corporate Foundation, between January and June 2014 where she continued her research. She works by encounter, with chance, giving an important place to the "experience of seeing", in her own words.
Her artistic language requires a pragmatic approach. The environment and context in which the work is created plays an essential role, but it is also the interdependence between the pieces that enables Elodie Seguin’s work to make up a system. A work’s physical boundaries hold no importance for this artist who incorporates the specificities of the production and exhibition sites into the pieces she creates. Bas relief, the colour of which varies depending on the light, is a sculptural element, as if unfinished, opens entirely to englobe the space of the workshop and become one with it.
