Kasia Fudakowski

Born in 1985 in Londres, Royaume-Uni
Through sculpture, video, performance, and writing, Kasia Fudakowski questions the gap between individual and collective perceptions of lived experience. Her work examines the divergence between social norms and the danger of binary categorisation through the prisms of the tragicomic and a certain surrealist logic. Continuouslessness, a sculptural work that will last throughout the artist’s life (2017–), is an autobiographical archive of her thoughts, research, and observations on the world. By exposing her personal history, Kasia Fudakowski raises questions about the absurdity of situations or events she has experienced. By interacting with the work and manipulating it, the artist proposes to expose us to the types of actions and social mechanisms that can regularly be observed.
Born in 1985 in London (United Kingdom), Kasia Fudakowski studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at Oxford University. She lives and works in Berlin (Germany).
