During Closer Music Festival, discover classic and contemporary training styles and techniques, with artists hailing from the historic dance institution currently celebrating its 350 years of existence. Come warm up your body and spirit at the 9 rue du Plâtre!
Recommended to wear comfortable clothes to move in, open to all.
Warm Up Sessions : a training for the body and mind. From jumpstyle to ballet, from break dance to contemporary, practice then discuss the indispensable movements and gestures that anticipate a performance - the ultimate moment of sharing with an audience. Each Session will begin with a warm up led by the invited dancer or collective, and will be followed by a discussion on themes bridging body movements and social realities : the performativity of the human condition, circulations and physical disruptions in a decorporalized era. With the Warm Up Sessions, we aspire to associate bodily effort with mindful effervescence.

Danseuse basée à Paris, Marion Barbeau combine musique classique et créations contemporaines.
Marion Barbeau entre à l'école de danse de l'Opéra de Paris en 2002. Six ans plus tard elle est engagée dans le corps de ballet de l'Opéra de Paris. Depuis janvier 2019, Marion Barbeau est première danseuse. Au sein du ballet de l'Opéra elle a eu l'occasion de danser de nombreux rôles classiques notamment dans les ballets de Rudolf Noureev, George Balanchine, John Cranko... mais aussi de participer à de nombreuses créations classiques et contemporaines avec les chorégraphes Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Édouard Lock, Arthur Pita, Alexander Ekman, Benjamin Millepied ... et de travailler avec des personnalités de la danse tel que Jiri Kylian, Hofesh Shechter, ou Ohad Naharin.
Danseur et chorégraphe basé à Paris, Simon Le Borgne commence sa formation à l'école de l'Opéra de Paris en 2005 et est engagé dans la compagnie en 2014. Il est promu coryphée en 2018.
Simon Le Borgne danse dans des pièces de Maguy Marin, Merce Cunningham, Jiri Kylian, et participe aux créations de Iolanta et Casse-Noisette avec les chorégraphes Arthur Pita, Edouard Lock et Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. En parallèle, il crée ses chorégraphies, notamment La Fille du Fort, duo et court-métrage créés en 2018 en étroite collaboration avec Marion Barbeau.
