A reading session with French writer Marie NDiaye.

For this reading session, Marie NDiaye unveils extracts from her next book, due to be published in 2025.
Marie NDiaye is a French writer.

At 17, she wrote her first novel, Quant au riche avenir, published by Éditions de Minuit in 1985.

She studied linguistics at the Sorbonne and won a scholarship from the Académie de France to study at the Villa Médicis in Rome.

She has written nearly thirty novels, short stories and plays, including Rosie Carpe (Prix Femina 2001), Trois Femmes puissantes (Prix Goncourt 2009) and Royan, la professeure de français (Grand prix de l'Académie de Saintonge, 2021).

In 2003, her play Papa doit manger entered the repertoire of the Comédie-Française.

Marie NDiaye is published by Gallimard.
