Concert: Kate NV + Héron Cendré
Sunday 09 Sep 2018 from 4pm to 6pm
On Sunday, September 9 at 6 PM, singer KATE NV accompanied by a guest will perform in the Agora. Inspired by Japanese new wave music of the 1980s, this Russian singer will make the Fondation echo to her pop tunes!
NV is a solo project led by Kate Shilnosova, an ascending Russian figure on the new Moscovite arts scene.
Between bubble gum melodies and electronica textures, she produces masterful experimental electronic pop, finding inspiration in Japanese themes of the 1980s as well as in concrete or contemporary music. While in constant mutation, her concerts resonate as pure releases of grace and euphoria. Her new album was recently released with the American label RVNG.
Best known by ornithologists and chamans, Héron Cendré produces hybrid music, just as much influenced by minimalist music (Steve Reich, Terry Riley), as by pop (Robert Wyatt) and various experimentations with traditional music (La Nòvia collective). A tender mix of folk and analogous electronic music.
