56th Venice Biennale

Launched in October 2013 to accompany the Fondation’s architectural, curatorial and institutional project, the Lafayette Anticipation programme will continue for the duration of the refurbishment of 9 rue du Plâtre. Lafayette Anticipation fits in the local reality of the Marais district of Paris as well as in a context of international cooperation. It supports the Fondation’s evolving identity through commissions, workshops, partnerships and direct support for production. During this time, which favours all kinds of curatorial and institutional experimentation, the Foundation is multiplying its commitments to artists, especially on the occasion of major international events. In the context of the 56th Venice Biennale, it is lending its support to projects by Saâdane Afif and Christodoulos Panayiotou, thereby asserting its place at the centre of cooperation networks between all art world actors.
