Le Centre ne peut tenir
Conceived as an original commission, like the twelve works produced for the exhibition The Centre Can't Hold, this eponymous book is both a catalogue and a unique editorial experiment. Printed entirely in duplicate at the exhibition venue throughout the summer of 2018, it will feature not only images of the works themselves, but also highlights, meetings with artists, invitations to thinkers, curators and personalities who have accompanied each of the artistic productions. A collective work par excellence, Le centre ne peut tenir brings together some fifteen original texts that extend the exhibition, delving deeper into the questions raised by the artists. Their works demonstrate a subtle and non-binary insight into the cultural, social or political categorizations of today's worlds. The book also includes a large number of quadrichromic plates, a technical feat rarely achieved in risography.
