To coincide with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Lafayette Anticipations and Ateliers Médicis, two institutions dedicated to contemporary art, are presenting La Ruée vers l'or, a project created by and with 40 students from the Lycée Alfred Nobel in Clichy-sous-Bois, based on an initiative by EBB and artist Neil Beloufa.

Their visions, commentaries on a dysfunctional or ideal world, are deployed throughout the spaces in the form of a ‘Fun Fair’, a cutting-edge, sports-themed theme park.

The initial plot follows the journey of a hacker who has stolen the Olympic flame, giving missions to characters who will do everything in their power to recover it. These missions take the form of games or installations staged at the Fondation Lafayette and the Ateliers Médicis.

The exhibition catalogue follows this plot, in the form of a manga-style comic strip. The character of the hacker is central. He is the narrator of the plot, guiding the readers through the various attractions in the exhibitions. Produced in a workshop with high school students, the book invites illustrators, scriptwriters and graphic designers to produce the object. Artificial intelligence will also be deployed, generating images to produce the visual content.
