Témoin vert is an edition of 150 copies from the eponymous series in six vivid colours. This original work consists of a digital print which is secretly housed in a coloured aluminium cylinder, an echo to the object used in relay races, to the spirit of mutual support in the artistic sphere, and to the circulation of images which pass through successive media filters. Clément Rodzielski examines the effects of visual and semantic disappearance under the action of spray paint, a monochrome covering gesture often used in his practice of visual sampling. Only a thin sinuous line gives a glimpse of the original image, a testament to the introspective visual process which reveals its physical qualities and temporal stratification.
