Nicholas Mangan

Although Nicholas Mangan uses a range of techniques, his most recent projects primarily combine video and sculpture. Interested in ecology, post-colonialism, and the conflict between nature and culture, he relates the geopolitical to the cosmogonical, stripping back and deconstructing these themes to make sense of the world.
Born in 1979 in Geelong, Nicholas Mangan studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne before completing a two-year residency at the Gertrude Contemporary Gallery in Fitzroy (Australia). He lives and works in Melbourne.
