Alvaro Urbano
Born in 1983 in Madrid, Espagne
Alvaro Urbano’s polymorphous work (photo, installation, sculpture) draws on the concept of heterotopia defined by Michel Foucault in 1967. He is interested in the notion of space as well as its possible temporal, physical, or visual definitions. Since 2014, he has frequently collaborated with the artist Petrit Halilaj.
Born in Madrid in 1983, Alvaro Urbano studied at the School of Architecture in Madrid before joining the Institut für Raumexperimente at the Berlin University of the Arts. He currently lives and works in Berlin.
