From March to April 2021, Gaëlle Choisne worked on the new iteration of her project Temple of Love, for the New Museum Triennial.
This piece is taken from Roland Barthes' work Fragments d'un discours amoureux where love is translated as a political form of resistance.
"I really enjoy working with inspirations like architecture, design, sound and light - these are elements that allow me to push my installations towards immersive landscapes. I almost call them creole gardens where I mix a lot of heteroclytic elements that speak of a colonial history and a way of decolonising contemporary narratives." Gaëlle Choisne
