Camille Blatrix’s intimate, funny, and enigmatic sculptures act as invitations to enter into unresolved stories. These narratives inform both the way in which he presents his “objects” (a term that is dear to the artist) and the choice of the finely crafted materials from which they are made, thereby generating an unprecedented “mode of existence” for his work.
Born in 1984, Camille Blatrix studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris. He won the Pernod Ricard Foundation contemporary art prize in 2014. He lives and works in Paris.
