Yellow Magic Harpsichord is proof of the keyboardist's versatility, Antoine Souchav'.
Beneath this slightly droll name lies a harpsichord reinterpretation of the Japanese trio Yellow Magic Orchestra, the spiritual father of techno pop (or vice versa) with a polished aesthetic.
By choosing an instrument at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Japanese's synthetic music, Souchav' underlines the melodic richness and the crazy immediacy of their timeless hits.

Doté d’une formation musicale baroque au clavecin, Antoine Souchav' explore en parallèle les musiques contemporaines par le biais de créations pour des expositions, pièces de théâtre, longs métrages, en tant que compositeur, musicien de scène ou ingénieur du son, en mêlant jeu instrumental et techniques de traitement du son
Il conçoit notamment avec Benjamin Charles une performance originale consacrée à Domenico Scarlatti "Scarlatti Goes Electro" en adaptant au synthétiseur les sonates baroques du compositeur italien.
Il retourne l'exercice sous un nouvel alias "Yellow Magic Harpsichord" en transposant sur un véritable clavecin les mélodies synth' pop du Yellow Magic Orchestra, groupe japonais des années 70 avec notamment Ryuichi Sakamoto aux claviers.
